Hermiston’s Best Mexican Restaurants
One of the greatest things about moving back to Eastern Oregon is the incredible Mexican food we have here- especially TACOS! Tacos are one of my love languages, but I’m picky about determining what makes a taco the best! For me it’s the tortilla, the meat and the hot sauce! Check out below for my top recs and favorite things on the menu!
1. Acapulco 1611 7th Street, Umatilla OR 97882

The tacos here are my favorite in the area! Homemade tortillas, flavorful meat and a variety of hot sauces (as well as incredible customer service) keep me coming back every time! Pro tip- try the Al Pastor Taco and the Shrimp Taco- and make sure not to forget the creamy green sauce!
2. Don Juniors 455 N 1st St, Hermiston, OR 97838

I think Don Juniors wins on convenience, price and quality. The tortillas are delicious, the meat is fantastic and you can drive through and order ( and they are open late!) What more do you need! Pro Tip- the chicken tacos are my favorite! Try them crunchy or street taco style. Don’t forget the green and the red hot sauce! Also- they have the best fountain Pepsi products in town!
3. La Palma 231 E Hurlburt Ave, Hermiston, OR 97838

If you want a sit down experience with great margaritas- go to La Palma. They have amazing service and their chips and salsa will not only have you ordering multiple baskets but getting salsa to go! Cadillac Margarita is my go to- try it strawberry for a fruity experience! Pro Tip- Guacamole Fresca is my favorite in town, Nachos are fantastic and don’t forget the Cadillac Margarita!
